Salesforce to ADP Workforce Now – Data Migration
Provision and automate salary upload from CVC’s HR system (Salesforce) to 3rd party Payroll Provider (ADP).

The Project
In CVC, salary increases are agreed and finalised by end of Jan / early Feb. Once they are approved by board, the final numbers are provided to Payroll provider (ADP) in a particular format so they can import them at their end.
WHAT’S GOING ON?
The Challenge
CVC Payroll team in US would receive the salary numbers at the very last minute and there is less time to load them into clients HR system and then generate report for Payroll provider. The report was created manually and sent to Payroll provider who will then upload them to their Payroll system (ADP Workforce Now).
How we did it?
Our Solution
Phrism’s Salesforce Consultant did a detailed requirements session with CVC Payroll team in US and documented the requirements. Solution was discussed internally with Phrism’s development team and then agreed with the client. Project plan was put together with high level milestones and delivery dates. Approval was obtained from CVC sponsor to proceed with the build.
Solution proposed was to enable bulk transfer of salary changes from clients Salesforce system (through Payroll Changes form), directly to ADP Workforce Now system. A Salary report was also created as per the excel template provided by ADP that can act as a backup in case the interface failed.
CVC Payroll team UAT’d the solution and signed off the solution in staging. Solution was then deployed to Live environment on time. Phrism team uploaded the salary changes and let Payroll team know that it is all done. Payroll team were then able to download the salary changes to review them before it is sent to ADP. Once they were happy with the data, they submitted the salary changes for all their US employees in bulk via the interface and data was successfully imported in ADP Workforce Now system. This saved a significant effort for Payroll team and also prevented manual errors.
